„BA English and American Studies
(BA Anglistik/Amerikanistik)“
Short profile

„I enjoy studying English and American Studies in Chemnitz because studying in my Department entails learning about cultures, and it’s an environment where I also get to see a lot of cultures mingling together. As a student whose task it is to observe the usage of English through the eyes of a Linguist, I am presented with many opportunities to study my craft. Another reason I enjoy studying in Chemnitz is that it is a small city where it is easy for students to meet new people, socialise and make friends.“

(MA Anglistik/Amerikanistik)“
Short profile

„I find the English and American Studies course at TU Chemnitz extremely exciting mainly because I myself am very passionate about many aspects of the culture of English-speaking countries. I participate in each lecture and seminar with great enthusiasm, but what I find most fascinating are the many opportunities to analyse different conceptual frameworks. We get the chance to express ourselves and contribute to the discussion. What makes my course particularly attractive are the many parallels to practical, real-life situations, something which is also really beneficial for our further professional development.“
