Do you know that following situation? Often in your stressful student life you run from one seminar room to the another (although currently it should rather be: “from one BigBlueButton room to the other”). But whether online or in person, there is usually no time in the short breaks between lectures to cook the food yourself. Another dilemma is that although there is time to cook, but the fresh ingredients are missing or simply the desire to lovingly prepare your food.
Then it happens – you sit in the lecture, your stomach growls. Fortunately, you have the TUC app. Because thanks to this, you can plan your lunch and check the menu during your lecture.
The first step in the cafeteria feature shows you all the canteens / cafeterias at Chemnitz University of Technology. You now have the option of using the settings to mark the canteen / cafeteria in which you spend most of your time or where you feel most comfortable as a favourite. This is practical because the menu of your favourite cafeteria is now displayed directly on the app home page.
If you select a cafeteria, descriptions, prices, and pictures of today’s menus are displayed. The price for students is set by default, but this can be changed using the settings in the cafeteria feature.
When you click on a dish, you can find out more about the different prices [for students, guests, or employees] on the one hand, and more about the ingredients of the dish on the other hand.
The cafeteria feature of the TUC app is just like the stop information a great function that can support you in your everyday life. Because unfortunately not everything in life can be planned, but thanks to the app you can control your lunch/dinner. The big advantage? You will never have to sit in a quiet classroom with a loud growling stomach again.

Even during the corona pandemic, food will be cooked for you in the cafeteria. Despite the lockdown, the canteen on the TU campus (Reichenhainer Straße 55, 09126 Chemnitz) is open for you Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 1.30 p.m. However, the operation takes place with a limited range. In addition, all meals are currently only to be taken away.
