New functions for students

The TUC2GO development team is planning many new functions that will focus on the students. Starting your studies can be a challenge, especially for freshmen. Today I would like to introduce you to planned functions that are primarily intended to support newly enrolled students when they start their studies.

  • Checklist for the start of studies / semester:
Functions are developed to simplify the organization during the start of the semester. The aim is to integrate a checklist for the start of studies in the app. You can find important documents and dates, such as submission deadlines, from this list.

  • New communication options:
In addition, direct communication with the student secretariat should be made possible via the app. The aim is that notifications from the student secretariat, such as news about your application, can be communicated and viewed directly via the app.

  • Orientation week function:
Every beginning is nice, especially the O phase or orientation week is one of the most beautiful moments when starting your studies. Because in this you not only learn more about your future everyday study life, you also get to know your fellow students and future friends during this week. The responsible persons of the respective student council will set up a program for you that combines education and fun. So that you can enjoy this time stress-free, we want to develop a function that you can use to view the schedule, e.g. FSR tours, evening events or mentoring programs, for your O phase.

  • Study planner:
The whole organization in advance is done. You have successfully enrolled, what is still missing? The timetable and knowledge when all lectures will take place. It should be possible to set your own course of study with the respective semester in the app. The semester-specific plan should then be automatically created in the app. In addition, there should be the function of comparing this automatically created timetable with modules that have already been passed.
