Professor Hasse presented IKAT´s latest research findings on the potential of laser structuring on the surface of components for increasing friction coefficient during the Materials, Hybrids session at the FVV Spring Conference on March 30th, 2023. The project, „Tribomaps – friction coefficient enhancing laser structures,“ was completed in collaboration with the Laser Institute (Prof. Löschner) at the Mittweida University of Applied Sciences. The presentation covered the research methodology, data analysis, and results, demonstrating the effectiveness of laser structuring in increasing friction coefficient. The project has significant implications for a range of industries and applications, including the automotive and manufacturing sectors. The presentation generated significant interest and discussion at the conference, highlighting the importance of ongoing research and innovation in this field. The conference was attended by leading researchers, engineers, and industry experts in the field of materials science and engineering. The project has been supported by the FVV, AiF and BMWK and is expected to have a significant impact on the field of friction coefficient measurement and enhancement.
