Professor Hasse presented IKAT´s latest research findings on the potential of laser structuring on the surface of components for increasing friction coefficient during the Materials, Hybrids session at the FVV Spring Conference on March 30th, 2023. The project, „Tribomaps – friction coefficient enhancing laser structures,“ was completed in collaboration with the Laser Institute (Prof. Löschner) at the Mittweida University of Applied Sciences. The presentation covered the research methodology, data analysis, and results, demonstrating the effectiveness of laser structuring in increasing friction coefficient. The project has significant implications for a range of industries and applications, including the automotive and manufacturing sectors.
