Peter Watson Prize goes to IKAT

Excellent research is rewarded – Mr. Jonathan Schanner has achieved an outstanding result in this year’s competition for the Peter Watson Prize. After intense debate, the judges introduced a second prize for outstanding research, which was awarded to the IKAT scientist. The Peter Watson Prize was awarded by the EIS last month at the Fatigue 2024 conference in Cambridge, England. His outstanding presentation addressed the complex engineering challenge of non-proportional multi-axis fatigue in a shrink fit shaft-hub joint. We look forward to continuing these exciting research topics around component fatigue and tribology.
