From 28 to 30 July 2025, ECOTRIB brought together leading scientists, engineers, and industry experts at ETH Zurich to exchange the latest research findings and explore forward-looking approaches in the field of tribology.
We were delighted to present two of our current research projects during the poster session:
- Contact Mechanics Analysis of Laser-Structured Surfaces
- Integrating Green Tribology into Product Design: A Planetary Boundaries Approach to Absolute Sustainability
The conference offered an exceptional breadth of topics – ranging from highly specialized technical questions to unexpected everyday connections (including the role of tribology in wine tasting). What stood out most was the inspiring atmosphere, which fostered meaningful scientific exchange and opened up new perspectives. High-calibre presentations, lively discussions, and international networking made ECOTRIB 2025 a true highlight of our academic year.
