IKAT is pleased to announce a new scientific publication by Mr. Muhammedi in the renowned journal Engineering Research. The publication focuses on the design of keyed shaft connections and examines them under the criterion of allowable plastic deformation of the shaft keyway.
At the center of the study is a newly developed design approach that enables an improved evaluation of the torque transmission capacity of keyed shaft connections. The method allows the assessment of different parameters, such as shaft diameter and material properties.
The proposed approach contributes to a more realistic and reliable design of such connections in engineering practice. In doing so, the work provides an important contribution to the advancement of calculation methods in mechanical engineering and to the safe and efficient design of shaft–hub connections.
