Leon Stahr spent two intensive and inspiring weeks at the Summer School for Engineering Design Research (SSEDR) 2026 in Croatia, organized by The Design Society – an experience that will stay with him both professionally and personally.
Together with an international team, research methodologies were critically examined, new perspectives explored, and valuable insights gained. Special thanks go to Lucienne Blessing, Gaetano Cascini, Daniela Pigosso, and Tomislav Martinec for asking the right questions, providing inspiring input, and offering valuable guidance throughout the summer school.
Leon Stahr would also like to thank all participating PhD students for the strong sense of community, open exchange, and many memorable moments they shared.
For aspiring design researchers, he highly recommends the SSEDR – SSEDR 2027 is definitely worth applying for!
