With the relocation of the machine bed with three electric motors and two testing fixtures, the first step towards the expansion of the test site of the professorship was taken. With combined forces, the machine bed found its place at the new location. The testing devices use resonance excitation to transfer dynamic loads to shaft-hub connections (SHC) and thus enable state-of-the-art tests to be carried out on SHC. Furthermore, the machines offer great potential for investigations of the vibration behaviour of dynamically rotating systems. The motors and testing devices thus provide an increase in capacity and quality for experimental research at the Competence Center Shaft-Hub Connections.
