The further development of the professorship in connection with sharpening the focus of research is progressing. Mr. Knabner joined the team of the professorship to strengthen the research group on fretting fatigue, also known as friction corrosion or friction fatigue. After successfully completing his studies, he was now looking for new challenges. Over the next few years he will focus intensively on the phenomenon of strength reduction through friction loading and the influences of prestressing and slip amplitude. The whole team is looking forward to his cooperation and will support him as much as possible.
