New projects require new testing devices and more space in the testing area of the professorship. Besides the ongoing optimization of test procedures, several test benches are currently being developed. On the one hand, the dynamic wear tests are to be extended with the help of a wear test rig, which is based on the principle of the existing friction block test rig. On the other hand, investigations are planned on a new device for rolling bearing ring creep. This will allow a targeted deformation of the bearing outer ring under a radial load that varies over time. In addition, a further friction coefficient test rig is to be built in order to be able to cover an even wider range of material pairings in the determination of friction coefficients. The test area obtained for this purpose will now be filled one by one, opening up new possibilities for our team in experimental research.
