On 02. April 2018 Prof. Dr.-Ing. Erhard Leidich passed on the baton to Prof. Dr. sc. ETH Alexander Hasse after 25 years as head of the design engineering professorship. This ensures a continuous transition between research and teaching. In addition to the successful research areas such as tribology and strength, the professorship is also expanded by the research focus on flexible systems.
Prof. Hasse gave his first lecture as part of the course „Design Engineering/Machine Elements II“ on 04.04.2018. The lecture „Economic Product Design“ will continue to be lectured by Prof. Leidich.
