To create the initial geometry of a product in the design process, many engineers use topology optimization. The standard way is an iterative one, but it requires a lot of computing power and time. Another one is by using of artificial intelligence. The problem with this approach is the availability of optimized training data.
A new method developed at the professorship, which does not require pre-optimized data, produces geometries similar to the classical manner while requiring less computing power.
