Mr. Schlapp strengthens IKAT as new laboratory engineer

Since mid-February, we welcome Mr. Patrick Schlapp as a new employee at our professorship. In the newly created position of laboratory engineer, he adds an important link to our team and thus relieves both the technical and the scientific staff. Due to the experimental orientation of IKAT’s research activities, our professorship hosts a large number of test benches, which Mr. Schlapp will support with his skills in terms of software and hardware.

Already before joining our professorship, Mr. Schlapp was associated with the TU Chemnitz. From 2011 to 2018, Mr. Schlapp studied mechanical engineering here.
Mr. Schlapp’s avocational passion is fencing. His special interest is related to martial arts with historical weapons.

The whole team is looking forward to a long cooperation.
