At the 15th VDI Conference on Plain and Roller Bearings, the Plain Bearings group presented a joint project with the Klüber company, which deals with the reduction of failure by fretting fatigue in plain bearings. Here, a thin polymer layer was applied to plain bearings to reduce wear. The advantages of this process were presented to a broad audience of industry representatives and research institutes at the VDI symposium. We would like to thank the VDI for organising the symposium and look forward to the upcoming conferences.
