From 24 to 26 September 2025, the WiGeP (Wissenschaftliche Gesellschaft für Produktentwicklung) held its annual meeting in Chemnitz, hosted by the Institut für Konstruktions- und Antriebstechnik (IKAT).
The first two days took place at the Altes Heizhaus in the city center, featuring engaging discussions, the admission of new WiGeP members, and the presentation of awards for outstanding scientific achievements. In addition to the professional program, participants enjoyed pleasant evening gatherings — first at Restaurant Janssen, and the following evening at Restaurant Max Louis, where the guests were treated to an excellent five-course dinner.
On the final day, the meeting continued at the Weinhold-Bau of TU Chemnitz, including a tour of the IKAT laboratories and a closing dinner at the Turmbrauhaus. Throughout the event, IKAT also organized guided tours introducing guests to Chemnitz and its surroundings.
We would like to thank all participants and organizers for their contributions to a productive and collegial event. The 2025 WiGeP meeting in Chemnitz was a great success — combining academic exchange, collaboration, and warm hospitality.
