IKAT represented at Working group „Nichtschaltbare Kupplungen“ in Bad Homburg

On the 6th and 7th of May Mr. Vivek Niel Jason Kanaparthy attended his first working group meeting as part of the working group Nichtschaltbarekupplungen in Bad Homburg, Frankfurt. The event was hosted by the multinational company Ringspann GmbH which specialises in design and manufacturing of freewheels, industrial brakes, shaft-hub connections, couplings and clutches.

The meeting started off in the evening of 6th May with a dinner at the restaurant Bad Homburger Brauhaus where researchers of different institutes and company representatives could network with and get to know each each other.

The next day, Mr. Kanaparthy along with Dr. Klärner of the Institute of Lightweight Structures of TU Chemnitz kicked off their project titled- Torque transmission capacity of fibre reinforced shaft-hub connections with a hypocycloidal profile. The project was well received and of captured the interest of the researchers and company representatives alike.

The session ended with an extensive factory tour of Ringspann, where the participants of the working group could see the products and production technologies of Ringspann.
