From June 28 to July 3, Mr. Knabner and Mr. Müller attended the 14th International Fatigue Congress (IFC14) in Madeira.
As part of the conference, Mr. Knabner presented his Study on the mechanics of fretting crack initiation for flat-on-flat contacts. Mr. Müller gave a presentation on Mitigation of fretting fatigue: Effects of case-hardening on the durability and failure modes, presenting the latest research findings in this field.
In addition to the technical presentations, the congress provided numerous opportunities for in-depth discussions with international experts, as well as engaging conversations about current developments and research topics in the field of fatigue strength. The beautiful venue in Madeira, along with the excellent organization and diverse program, also contributed to making the event a great success.
We would like to sincerely thank Mr. Knabner and Mr. Müller for their dedicated work in preparing and presenting their contributions, and we are already looking forward to the next International Fatigue Congress.
