Advice and support during the Long Night of Postponed Course Papers

On Thursday, 5 February 2026, starting at 4 p.m., the Long Night of Postponed Course Papers will once again take place at the University Library. It offers all students advice and, until midnight, sufficient space and time to tackle their course papers well prepared, pursue them in a targeted manner or finally complete them.

Not only are there places to work quietly or engage in lively discussion, but there are also various advice booths on the ground floor where knowledgeable staff are available to answer your specific questions.

The University Computer Centre will also be on site to offer advice on the use of various tools: whether you are writing your paper in LaTeX, Word or another software programme, we can help with formatting and implementation issues relating to the software in question. We are also happy to assist with other technical challenges:

  • What software can I use, how and where?
  • How can I access my university storage from home?
  • My VPN/Wi-Fi/MFA isn’t working. What can I do?
  • My homework is corrupted. How can I restore it?

In OPAL, you can book a 20-minute time slot for individual advice stands. You are welcome to briefly indicate your request in advance, invisible to others.

Of course, you can also receive advice without booking an appointment if the contact person on site is available.

See you at the booth.
