Chemnitz University of Technology uses PaperCut, an add-on application for operating and billing multifunction devices. Some time ago, we asked the software manufacturer whether it would be possible to set email addresses other than one’s own as the destination in the integrated scanning application. With the release currently in use, this request was addressed, and the admin interface was updated with a range of enhanced scanning features. Thus, it is now possible now to create flexible data fields and make them available to users for editing. We have decided to make the destination email address and the file name of the scan customizable.
Selecting „Scan – custom selection“ now gives you full access to this feature, the file format selection, and all other settings.
