Since the beginning of the year, all TUC members have had access to a new business information systems database. Thanks to a cooperation with the Faculty of Economics and Business Adminnistration, the University Library was able to make all contents of the AIS-e-Library accessible.

Access is possible via the database information system DBIS. TUC members can access the database in the campus network or via VPN, external library users have access within the library rooms.

The AIS-e-Library is a comprehensive portal with journals and proceedings of the Association for Information Systems (AIS), the world’s most important association for business information systems. All documents contained in the database are accessible in full text and can be downloaded as PDFs. Among other things, they address current topics of digitization and new technologies.

The contents of the database can be browsed from the homepage. However, research is also possible via a simple or advanced search, which allows even more complex search queries.

Prof. Dr. Dinter, Chair of Business Information Systems – Business Process and Information Management at Chemnitz University of Technology, confirms “that the publications of the AIS-e-Library are extremely relevant for business information systems and related disciplines such as computer science and business administration” and “also very helpful for our students in the context of theses”.

If you have any questions about searching or accessing the database, please feel free to contact the library staff at: service@bibliothek.tu-chemnitz.de.
